The quintessential Brooklyn Saturday

This morning I met my friend Mark for brunch, a walk and a time-honored Brooklyn tradition, real estate shopping. We started at AlMar (bacon and eggs above), then I practically skipped us over to the new outpost of One Girl Cookies, which makes the best cookies in all the borough. After that, Mark took me to visit Jane’s Carousel …

and then we wandered in and around all of our favorite DUMBO shops. Then, before I had to hop a train to meet Katie and her boyfriend Marc for our weekend road trip to Connecticut, Mark took me to look at apartments. Not because either of us is really looking for an apartment; it’s more like apartment gawking.

This is what Saturdays in Brooklyn are for – brunch and gazing at beautiful and unrealistic real estate.

Now it’s time to visit CT.

  1. It’s like HGTV in person! Sounds like fun. Hi to Mark. Hi to Katie. I don’t know her boyfriend, but hi to him, too. Have fun in Connecticut!
